My sister, Bobbie, has been like a second mommy to me my whole entire life. She was sixteen when I was born, and she took me everywhere with her. She has become my best friend over the years. I tell her all my secrets, and I could sit and talk to her for hours and hours and never get bored. We laugh together, and we cry together.
Her three sons have been like brothers to me. The oldest is only a couple years younger than me, and we have always been together. We use to stay at one another’s houses every weekend. As we got older, I would drive him and his friends around wherever they needed to go. Now, he lives across the country and I miss him every single day. The two younger ones (ages 18 and 15) are like my little brothers, and even though they have pestered me through the years, they still have their place in my heart.
I say all this to say, that you can only imagine how I felt when I found out my sister is having another baby!!! It was quite a surprise to us all. Her boys are about to all leave the house… and now a new life is pouring love and light into their home. I am beyond excited and I cannot resist buying every single baby item I see. She is only 14 weeks pregnant and I have already bought that baby all kinds of wonderful things. I am looking forward to June, so I can meet this joyous being that is now hiding safely inside my sister’s belly.
